Special Notice


On July 11, 2022, The Town Board relieved Marvin Mullet of his duties as Fire Chief of the Town of Bass Lake Fire Department. In solidarity with Chief Mullet, the majority of the Bass Lake Fire Department quit.


On August 8, 2022, The Town Board voted unanimously to appoint Chris Headley as Fire Chief.


Chief Headley’s reputation as a fire fighter precedes him and his dedication to the citizens of Sawyer County and Bass Lake is without question. The Board stands by him and has complete confidence that he will turn the Bass Lake Fire Department into the best department is has ever been.


During this transitional/rebuilding period, the residents of Bass Lake can be assured they will continue to be protected by the mutual aid agreement which consists of fire departments from the surrounding area.
